Summer bed linen

One of the best things in summer is real linen- It's fresh and the best thing when nights are really warm during summer.

Picture: sköna hem
If you are in antique stores make sure to always check if this have linen, you can find beautiful one with monograms. I always think about how much time and love women have put into making these back in the old days. It is good to have things like these real good quality that you cannot buy anymore nowadays and I like the mix of old things and new design.

Norrgavel

I'm trying to get my mind on something positive after friday's nightmare in Munich and distract myself by browsing through my favorite websites. Therefore I'm showing you some pictures from the Swedish shop Norrgavel which is an important source of inspiration for my apartment:

First glimpse of my shopping in Copenhagen

I promised to show you some of the things I found during my holidays in Copenhagen and Malmö/Sweden. When I saw these 2 salt containers in an antique store in Copenhagen I simply couldn't resist. The bigger one I now use for my tea lights and the smaller one is truly used for its real purpose. :)

Sommar med Ernst 2016

The TV series I look forward to the most is Sommar med Ernst, that will finally start on July 14 at 8 pm CET in Swedish TV channel TV4. This house seems to be his new project for this summer. I really love this series as it is so cozy and has such great pictures. And often during Christmas ( as you all know my favorite time of the year) he returns to decorate for Christmas, so the best 2 seasons in 1 Tv Series :)

Shopping in Sweden

I will definitiv need to go into Lagerhaus when I'm in Sweden. My bag will be full with new ides and new things from Sweden and I look forward to seeing all the things. It is like an eldorado for me. It is there where I find most of my decoration, new blankets ... everything as it is really my style and I cannot find it in Germany or anywhere else unfortunately.

Children's room

My cousin just got a baby and asked me about some ideas for a children's room. For me the most important thing is that it should be cozy for the child and I like pastel colors and then a lot of colors for children. Like in the picture below from Bloomingville:

Enamel

I don't know why I like enamel so much. Maybe it is because it is such an old material used for so many decades or because it is durable and at the same time simple without a lot of bric-a-brac. I found these very nice things at Swedish Ahlens shop, which I definitely going to have a look at this summer when I'm there. Can't wait ... :)

Exotic fruit trend- pineapples

Currently there is palm trees and pineapples in every interior shop, in every interior magazine. It is a new trend to have exotic fruits and plants as decoration objects. I also couldn't quite resist, but as it doesn't fit to the rest of my Scandinavian apartment, I only chose a small pineapple from H&M Home:

Hall update

I spent a lot of time to update our hall. first I painted one wall in grey and the rest in white to give it a fresh look. The new mirror is from Ikea and of course also here a geometric pattern lantern :)

Behind the door there is tiny space which I've used until the very last centimeter but I am really happy about the result. The 2 pictures you see are also from the New York artist:

Geometric pattern fruit bowl

You've seen quite recently that I added a lot of copper and geometric patterns. Well of course also to our living room. I got a fruit bowl for Christmas from my Dad which I really like and would like to show you. Additionally it looks nice to see the different colors of the fruits . :)

Book shelf

Instead of putting books next to each other the "normal" way, it also looks good to have a few highlight books that you like very much and exhibit these by putting these on the shelf the way I did in the picture below. I also added a drawing from New York which I bought there from a street artist selling these and of course my favorite flowers: hydrangeas. You can also add frames with sentences in a nice font that you like or numbers. For me it was important that it is not only fonts but also pictures and as the shelf is black, black and white in my opinion suited best.

Art Alejandro Giraldo

When Tim and I were in France we passed by the StepArt Shop in Hossegor and I found this printed art and couldn't walk past it without buying it. I at first didn't know where to put it to be honest with you but I was sure to find a very good place on the wall, which I did. The artist is Alejandro Giraldo from Colombia.

Facelifts for Home

The trend with geometric patterns definitely caught me :).  I really like the copper bowl from Bloomingville and added a copper frame with the alphabet to match it. Together with my ballet picture it makes a perfect match for me:

I also bought a new lamp in white, it is good that it is white as it quite big otherwise it would take over the entire room to much.

Prepare for spring

I promised you to show some updates about my home and what I've changed during my long absence. I always wanted to become an interior designer but never really dared to choose this path in life as there are so many talented people out there. I think this is why I keep changing a lot of things in our apartment. I started to prepare our home for spring quite early this year in February as I really wanted to get some new colors and light after the long winter. For our bedroom I've chosen copper together with white and grey and a blueish moss green for the pillow to add some more color.

H&M Home Lanterns

You know that I like candles and therefore I also need these during summer of course too :). I found these very nice lanterns from H&M Home. As I don't have a balcony, they might end up on my sister's balcony soon :)

L:A Bruket

One if the things I found in Hossegor which I really liked where the products from the Swedish brand L:A Bruket. They are using natural ingredients and I like the packaging. I currently change our bathroom into the colors black and white ( I will show you soon :)) and these would be a perfect match. The price was the only thing that kept me from buying it immediately but as the ingredients are natural and organic I will buy one. I found a shop in Munich that has it too :)

Ferm Living book end

Ferm Living is one of my favorite brands for interior design. I've added a couple of things from the current geometric pattern trend to our apartment ( I'm going to show you soon ;) ) and this is something I am thinking about to buy too.

Swedish grace winter

I've truly made a winter sleep this year... you can tell by me not even having realized the Rörstrand had a winter edition of my favorite china " Swedish grace"  named "Swedish grace winter ".  I really like the pattern and will try to get the little cups when I'm in Sweden in June. I look so much forward to (hopefully) buying these!

Ikea viktigt 2016

Ikea has a new collection that will be in the shops 7th of May in Germany. The designer is Ingegerd Råman and I especially like the that it looks so light and has these really simplistic design. My favorite is the glas carafe and the bench:
