European championship

Tonight Sweden will play against Irland in the European football championship. I need to keep my fingers crossed even though I also like the Irish team very much :) I'll be out on a dinner with customers which means I cannot see the game but I hope to be able to check the live ticker :)

A weekend in the mountains

Tim and I just came back from a very nice weekend with friends in the mountains in Austria. They have a mountain shelter which is very basic but so cozy. Even if it doesn't look like snow we were able to go Snowboarding as well, which was a little bit higher in the mountains. It feels so good to be outside and have the fresh cool air of the mountains.

 And of course breakfast, which is very important for me :)

Snowboarding in Austria (Hochfuegen) - Marendalm

It was so freezing cold today and it snowed a lot in the mountains in Hochfügen and the worst thing was that there was a lot of fog and you didn't see the piste. So I had to go very slowly which is quite tiring for the thighs, but good for training and shaping the body :). As our friends and Tim wanted to go for another round, I decided to go inside in the "Marendalm"which is an alpine hut and looks typically for the Alpine region:

And here in Austria they have a drink that is called "Almdudler", which is a herb lemonade and tastes very special, you should definitely try it, when you are here for holidays.

Sorry for the bad pictures, but it's too dangerous to take the camera with me when I'm snowboarding, because I still fall much too often. :)

First Snowboard Day of this year's winter

After a Lussekatter breakfast we took the car and drove to Austria to go Snowboarding. Munich is ideally situated you can drive to Austria, Switzerland or Italy within a short time. We went there very early in the morning and they were only few people. Perfect! After a few hours of riding we went to a hut that has this nice goulash soup, I can tell you it feels good to have some warm soup after some hours in the mountains.

Snowboarding is such a great fun and it feels good to do some sports after all the Christmas and Pre-Christmas food. :) Now I will take a hot shower and then we go to a Christmas market which is very close.
