Würzburg
I'm currently on a conference in Würzburg and walked up to the castle. It is quite steep and takes quite a while so just go there without a heavy handbag as I did :). But it was worth it in my opinion, don't you think?

Berlin Amano Hotel
On our way back to Munich we also stayed 1 night in Berlin in Amano Hotel and got an upgrade. The apartment they have is just amazing and I was sad that we just stayed 1 night.

Santa Lucia Restaurant Zurich
The name "Santa Lucia" caught my attention when we passed the restaurant. And inside at the other end of the entrance they really made a nice and cosy area. I wanted to share this picture with you and wish you a lovely evening. I'm having a glass of wine in it right now and then going to sleep soon as we will leave tomorrow morning quite early.

Zurich Switzerland
Tim and I are currently in Zurich for the weekend. It is the first time that I am in Zurich and it is a beautiful city. You can feel that it is really old and it has these cosy narrow streets that I like so much. And then of course the river that runs through the city and the cafes that surrounds it.
Zurich also has a lot of green areas too and benches to sit down with a cup of coffee and just relax.
I like these old buildings so much, it puts you into a different time immediately and makes you think about all the history that these buildings have seen.

San Sebastian
We are on our way back to the airport to fly back to Munich but we've stopped in San Sebastian on the way. What a beautiful city! We are currently sitting at the bay watching the sea and having an ice-cream. We already did a little city tour but will continue the tour after our ice-cream. I don't know how you feel but I don't like walking and eating at the same time. I always manage to spill food all over myself if I walk and eat because I concentrate on everything there is to see and there is always sooooo much to see in cities :)

Relaxing days off
We have rented a little apartment with a patio that is very close to the beach. It is great to just walk to the beach everyday in the morning and see the sunset everyday, not to think about work or anything just enjoying life! These are some pictures from the garden and the patio:
I really am a flower person, I can feel so much joy to see these daisies which remind me of my childhood where I used to braid floral wreath from these for my hair. You see I really am relaxing here :)

Some holiday pictures from Hossegor
Hossegor is a tiny little cute town 1 hour away from Biarritz. The city centre has only a few shops ( mainly surf brands like Billabong, Ripcurl) and a few interior design shops ( of course I visited all of them :)) but there is also an outlet centre with a couple of really stylish shops like the All Good store that has a little cafe:

Have a lovely day !

And also a picture from one of the shops in the city centre:

Breakfast at the beach - Hossegor
Tim and I flew to France yesterday for a couple of days. I'm currently in Hossegor and having breakfast at the beach with a café au lait and a croissant. There are a couple of surfers in the water and poor Tim had an accident with the Skateboard 2 weeks ago so he cannot surf himself and has to watch. But when do you have the possibility to have breakfast in the sand at the beach with this view if you normally live in Munich? The sun is shining and I breath the fresh air of the sea... I'm really happy! Isabell

France - Paris 2016
In the beginning of the year we visited Paris. One of the advantages of living in Munich is that it is central Europe and it is easy to get to other countries, you don't need to travel far to experience a complete different culture and even a weekend feels like a longer holiday. Paris is very charming it sometimes feels like a little country itself. It is a very cosy city- sitting in one of the cafés drinking a café au lait and watching the stylish people and the busy Parisian life.

Lake Garda Italy
Tim and I went to Lake Garda yesterday afternoon and after 3.5 hours by car we left winter in Munich and arrived in summer. Munich is currently a mix of rain and snow and only a few moments of sun. I was great to open the door of our car and then be in a complete different world and to see palm trees. We only stayed 1 night but it felt like a little holiday.
We sat outside and enjoyed this little restaurant with a garden. It was special to sit next to these old olive trees and to have this view:

Back home to Munich from Milano
The thing about business meetings is that you never get to see a lot of the cities itself that you are in unfortunately. You only sit in meeting rooms and after a lot of conversations you are already on the way back home. My meeting is finally finished and my train to Munich will leave soon but I wanted to share with you what I see right now - Milano central station. I looks really great and if it wasn't for the shops and the lights you could also imagine it being ancient, couldn't you? :)

I'm on my way to Milano
I'm currently on my way to Milano for a business meeting and sending you some pictures from the train. I took a night train and had the luxury of having a compartment all by myself. Sorry for the bad quality of the pictures but I took these with my mobile. I have a huge suitcase with me weighing nearly as much as I do, so I decided to leave the camera at home. :)

California- Huntington Beach
I told you the light in California in the evening was special and I'm going to proof it :). I did not modify these pictures they are the same color as I saw them when I was in Huntington Beach. Isn't this just incredible? I hope people in California realize how lucky they are!

California - Dana Point
We returned to Dana Point too, which is my favorite place in California and also one of these memories I was talking about yesterday. We prefer to rent apartments not only because it is cheaper ( especially in California) but also due to the fact that you feel like you would really live there. As you know from my blog I love cooking and baking so for me this is no extra effort- the contrary. Going into the supermarkets of the various countries is something I enjoy. trying new things and living the Californian life :)

California- New Port Beach
The best thing about holidays is that you have memories that are saved in your mind forever and you can recall them whenever you need them and they will cheer you up. One of these memories is Newport Beach. We rented an apartment which was 2 minutes away from the beach on the Balboa Peninsula. Being there so close to the beach and sitting there in the sand and seeing these incredible colors everyday when the sun goes down is something that I will never forget. For sure.

California - Solvang
I promised to have a "summer" post. Here it comes :) .
After a long winter break Tim and I went to California to relax and get some sun. We started in San Francisco and drove down to Solvang which is a Danish community in California. Being Scandinavian the town itself is a little bit like Scandinavian Disneyland ( A colorful mix of European kitsch- Shops with German cuckoo clocks together with Dutch wooden clogs etc. ) - but nevertheless it was fun. I especially like the hotel we were in - "The Landsby". This hotel was truly Scandinavian but also with a mix of California, which I really liked.

Nymphenburg Castle
Yesterday I've been visiting the Nymphenburg Castle in Munich. The castle is situated in the city Munich so you can go there by public transport and it has a huge green park with fountains and swans, the way you would expect a royal park to look like. This is the view you have when coming to the castle:
After the visiting the castle I spent almost 2 hours just walking trough the park, birds were singing and the scent of the blossoming lilac was everywhere. It was just a perfect afternoon.
And some pictures from inside the castle:
